Demetria

Demetria

A Poem by Joan Probst
"

This poem is a little explicit and I don't recommend this for children and others who are sensitive to abuse. This poem is about someone who can't help but fall in love with their captor (narrator).

"

Demetria

Hale Strider

My darling, why have you come?

Well if you’re here to stay,

Don't leave my side,

For I command this,

My word is law to you.

Do you like feeling numb?

I expose your mind,

I take what is mine,

I poison your body and values,

You have no more value than them.

Where did you come from?

Crawling back from your perfect life,

Escaping from him,

You come to me for answers,

I will only deceive you.

Did you drink some rum?

Try to forget me?

Think you’re safe,

I control your every move,

You think you’re in control,

You are only a piece in my game.

Wow this seems a bit vengeful. It's a powerful read with a touch of sinister. I enjoyed the emotions it invoked in me as I read it. Nice
