Indecisive Behavior

Indecisive Behavior

A Poem by Joan Probst
"

This poem is about someone who leaves their lover because they feel they are not good for them. They fall in love with someone else but are still in love with the one they left behind.

"
Indecisive Behavior
Hale Strider

I sleep next to him
Dreaming of you
“Trust”, you say will lighten the dim
“I know I'm in love with you”
I wake to only see him
I want it to be you

I see you everywhere I go
I see you in him
In everything I do
I need to choose, maybe him
I need to let you go

I want you
I long for your touch
The person I need is you
Grab the clutch
I need to feel you

I'm poison
I'm darkness
I'm corruption
That's why I can't have you

You assure me that I'm not
That you’re just as bad as me
That's why you wanted to tie the knot
You just wanted me to see

But if I choose today, it'll be him
Not you

I actually really like this. I have been in this position before and I understand the sway of emotions like that. It's messy and chaotic. I think the way this is written portrays that well.

What a ping-pong of emotion... Constructive criticism.. Hmm, lets see... Sorry, I am distracted by the sway of emotion from point A to B... It is him, or him... Or him... Well penned...
