A Vampires DreamA Poem by Haley Moore
Do vampires dream?
If they do this would be what they dream about: Deep in the moonlight In the depths of a forest hundreds of years old A being with sharp, pointed fangs roams Searching for the thirst quencher for this hunger This never ending hunger that drives this creature. This being comes across a river But the color is off Because this river is red and flows of a thick liquid. The creature reaches down to take a sip Then stops because it now knows this river is made of blood. Like water is a humans life force, Blood is this creatures driving force. The creature drinks the river dry, Until every last drop of blood is gone. The blood gives this creature powers no other being possess Speed, strength of a thousand men, Immortality, and incredible eyesight and hearing. In a matter of a few minutes this creature is transformed Into the very definition of a nightmare. Because its main purpose is now to survive, And in order for this creature to survive it must drink The blood, the life out of a human. With each drop of blood the creature becomes stronger Smarter, deadlier. However the blood gives this creature a beauty An alluring capability that humans cannot resist. Even though this creature is a monster Humans are attracted to every part of it. Its looks draw humans to it like flies to a venous fly trap, Its eyes compel a human to give in to every whim of the creature. This creature has become the deadliest , the most destructive Yet most beautiful creation ever. © 2012 Haley Moore |
