A Thank-You

As I journey on my way
with trembling steps, uncertain ground,
I hear a voice within me say
"Keep going, child, don't turn around."

I see a light, horizon bound,
it leads me where I aim to go,
I follow softly, make no sound,
and focus on the distant glow.

Whether rain or sun or snow
I walk the path both night and day,
and tell you, friends, that you would know:
You are the light that guides my way.
