A True Soldier

A True Soldier

A Poem by Hannah

Take down my flag of independence

Rip my beliefs from under me

Implent thoughts of hatred and hopelessness inside me

Tear down my dreams till I am nothing but an empty shell

A shell ready and waiting to be filled with somebody else’s views and plans of destruction

Clear me of everything different and original

Make me think of nothing but the urge to win and fight till the battle is won and bodies are spewed throughout the fields

Then I will be a true soldier

A soldier deemed a hero for the lives taken, things stolen and the blood of my enemy’s on my hands
