Moon

Moon

A Poem by Hannah

At midnight in the month of June

I look upon the bright and mysterious moon

Not ever have I seen such a sight

That gives off such a great fright

I remember it was the month of December

The weather was so utterly somber

No longer did the sky look blue

For the sun and clouds had flew

The weather wasn’t just what made that night so somber

Oh no the weather just made it darker

For the screams of terror that night made me so utterly scared

I was thankful that I myself was spared

When the screams died down I stepped outside to see the culprit

But all I found was the town all starlit

Could the screams have been a jest or am I just a nitwit

I was quite confused I must admit

Though all of this I must say that I was very lucky the December day

I am so utterly glad that it was not my own heart that was on display

They never did find the person who screamed to their dismay

But I must say that my worries have simply drifted away
