I'll Change the World for YouA Poem by HannahWhat happens when you know you are a burden but can do nothing? How helpless I feel to be old enough That I know that I don't like my world but young enough That I can do absolutely nothing about it You think I like watching my family suffer with money and having to sit here and only be able to consume? I would love to be older I'd love to be able to put in money to ease the financial programs to move out and stop taking up valuable space and not be a burden that you are all too glad to bear I sit on the carpet and listen to you all speak in hushed voices about the someone downstairs that we have to flee from I wish I were old enough so I could take him on myself I am sorry that I am a responsibility And I know that If you see this poem you will tell me that I don't have to worry and I am sure I don't But how can I escape this guilt So until I get big enough I'll still be here taking up space and taking in money with no way to get out But then I'll be big enough And I'll change the world for you
