Unrequited Love

Unrequited Love

A Poem by PhiloSophia
"

Love in waiting.

"

You watch him from a distance
You love to see him smile
You wish one day he might be yours
If only for a while

You wish that you could tell him
To have the strength to say,
“I love you and I wish that you
Could feel the same one day!”

Your heart beats as he comes towards you
Only to walk on by
You try to tell yourself you don’t love him
Try to believe your lie…

You wish, you dream, you hope, you pray
That you could be together
Maybe if you could make him see
That you two could last forever...

Hun, I've got PLENTY of heartbreak memories and I've lived through plenty of experiences just like the one you described in your poem. Although many romances end in tragedy, many others manage to pull through and shine like diamonds in the rough. And for that, love is worth fighting for. Your poem was excellent and I'm looking forward to reading more of your writing.

The only way to make him see is to tell him.
A hard chance to take, yes... but if taken, might yield so much happiness.
Good job!
(And good luck.. if the poem is semi-autobiographical.)

Just about every young girl nightmare. You love him so much it hurts. But he doesn't love you. I find this poem reminding me of that special someone. Thank you for that. Thank you.
