Lyric poem

A Poem by Hatsumine

Sometimes you have to change,

become better than you once were,

to go back home and show what you've become,

but why turn back now?

May yet you feel trapped,

a victim of venomous fate,

drifting away to feel

a little less insane.

We are all born creatures free,

leave and return not.

For if it is pre-ordained

does any of it actually matter?

Very good! You did a good job at expressing a deep meaning with your choice of lyrics. My favorite was your last stanza, i like how you ended it with "does any of it actually matter?"

You can't tell this poem was composed with lyrics from different songs because it contains a wholesome idea. Which I like. Good job.

Good intro the first two lines got me hooked, the line "victim of venomous fate" had a very good sound to it the alliteration put extra emphasis on the idea of venom. Although I feel that the last line could have been developed a bit more as it sounds a bit jagged. Overall good
