That Place

That Place

A Poem by Hayyel

In the blink of an eye...

A shudder from within...

My life in the womb,

Will I transcend?

In the tear of a child...

Feelings of warmth a smile...

The burst from a nebulas,

Do I pretend?

In the reaction to a pulse...

The reflection of one of us...

To the immense vastness of a place,

I view a vacuum filled space.

I shudder I transcend...

I feel warmth I pretend,

That my life my glee,

My memories do flee.

As I cross to that place...

A dimension in space,

A life fulfilled- unfulfilled,

Tempered by my will.

I am connected to a place...

I live without a trace,

Of the past of the womb,

of the God in my tomb.

Hey there, welcome to WritersCafe. :-)

GREAT poem. The short lines and fast pace give it a sense of immediacy and intensity that is very appealing as you read it. And the rhymes are spot on.

Great job!
