Nightmare

Nightmare

A Poem by WindsorWolf28
"

I didn't know what else to put it as, besides horror.

"
Faceless horrors
dressed in white

hidden eyes
with blood red light

Why resist?
All they want is to take
my life.

Dripping teeth
Stained and missing.

And in the back,
he is listening.

Slowly,
Slowly,
they approach,
grinning,
laughing,
oh so slow.

Backed up,
as far as I can go

I scream
all the names
of the lost lives.

as I wait,
slowly to die

Shaken,
Waken,
I close my eyes.

This is no sleep,
This seems like life.

Slowly
I count down,
Six, to five.

Then it's gone,
It's all disappeared,
and I'm the only one lying here,
in the dark,
Wrapped in fear.

I think I'd sleep with the lights on after that.

If I had a nightmare like that. Your poem described it very well.
Really good poem, sets a really scary scene.
