Broken Fragments

Broken Fragments

A Poem by Helena

Why did the roses scatter

into fragrant fragments

while I was sleeping in dream's

tranquil moments

I heard that blue bird song of hope

chirping happy melodies

to my singing heart

as the World turned to me and smiled

for a while

until the depths of truth come out stumbling

into narrow doors I learnt again that

reason had lost its way ~

There are times when so much seems broken, tattered, hopeless and it's expressing thoughts like yours that puts the mind into a place where it can be seen and adjusted, perhaps.Whether true or not, your words have created something very special, something to resolve in time and comfort - rather than locked away. As ever, fine writing Helen Good to see you here. Emma J.

Why "why says i! ;))))))))))) had to read this several times .. each time for me it got better as i put meself into your speakers shoes ... sweet dreams broken...disappointments disavowed...for a while anyway .. the blue bird sings ..ones protected world held intact .. but truth always wins out ..it smashes even harder on us when we resist seeing it ... the sense of no control is permeating ..i want to shake your speaker and say ...nooooooo you have power...are not hopeless and defeated ;) i got wrapped up in this one ..so good job ..in my opinion

Thank you so much for your kind words Einstein Noodle!
I felt the feeling of hope at the beginning and then the feeling of re-learning the realistic view.

You are welcome Helena.
i am feeling this...i still have roses blooming in my heart...but the world is such a cold place now...it feels as if the frost is killing all the blooms left in the garden of life and love.
