A Work of Art

A Work of Art

A Poem by Helena

A Work of Art

A fait accompli my mind says
In monotonous tones over and over
I’ll not stop till my broken
Heart is a work of art

A creative urge will bring
Brilliance to my waiting canvas
New brushes will sweep with
Sweet abandon

My paints thick from nature’s nuances
With readiness for a renaissance
Charcoal sketches bold and strong
Will grace my easel

Each splattering of color
Creating beauty's bounty
As each colour blends in harmony
My soul will awaken with wonderment

I shall hang my painting with pride
Knowing whatever happens
Artists will still practice their art
poets pen their poems
And life goes on without you ~

How can someone other than you make a broken heart appear so beautiful .. both in words and illustration?! Without reading below.. (had to add the previous after initially reviewing) .. I immediately thought of a 'work of heart' .. creating something beautiful from sad scattered pieces, converting them into something worthy, hopeful, bright. Tis true, whatever happens, whatever hurts in life, it goes on, and of course, so does beauty in its many forms, one just has to find the where, why and what.

' Each splattering of color
Breathes in beauty
As each colour blends in harmony
My soul will awaken with wonderment '

"A Work of Art"
Helen Margaret Crutchett,
To live our days is to be imperfect, flawed but desiring to learn and be better. When people desire to mature and learn even as time passes and we age we can become more beautiful within.I know for me that hope is the motivator. I found that while reading this poem of yours that beauty within is of a soul that becomes more beautiful and a work of art.
Blessings,
Kathy
