A Poem by Andre Peterson

This feeling creeps up again so fortuitously. I am taken back to childhood scenes. Astral and curious about how far a simple touch can go.
Where light was a theme built from within and where darkness sulked from its seams.

I have met a soul, which has never once heard the sound of it's name called before. Frighten, perhaps of the way I've cast my shadow upon the wall. I admit, It frightens me as well.

And again, I find myself in the middle of this room. Lightened by auburn streaks left behind long ago. I've discovered pages that make me feel so alive, all while trapped underneath the fear of where I may need to go.

But what of me? I need a view from outside my own. Is belonging justified or just another misplaced need?
I was there to see the moment.
But I missed it just before the sun sank into the dark.
Luckily, I posses a light that penetrates it's heart.
