A Poem by Jackson Morgen
"

"
You took it away.
And you didn't even have to try,
I didn't have the words to say,
Before we said goodbye.
Oh how I wish could I quit you.
But I know that's a lie.
Because your love became a drug I'm addicted to.
I just wish I could overdose off the high.

I've got anger and sadness,
Insecurity and uncertainty,
These things driving me into madness,
Knowing you dont feel the same way about me.

I wanna hold you in my embrace,
I wanna put a smile on your beautiful face,
But we're so far from each other,
I can only wonder if you've given your love to another.

I didn't think it was something you were capable of,
Oh but you certainly fell from grace, from the heavens above.
When you lied to my face about our love.
I hope you're happy with him like I thought you were with me.
Because you destroyed my idea of happiness and caused nothing but misery.
