If I could...

If I could...

A Poem by Crowley
"

Everybody makes mistakes I think.....sometimes I just wish it wasn't me

"

If I Could......

My actions less than endearing

Run rough-shod over the feelings you had for me

When you know in your mind what your heart has always felt

Then we will be joined at the conscience someday

Your blue eyes filled with seventeen years worth of joy, love, pain

A broken heart that has to be pieced together shard by shard

Will remain strong, good and true with every experience

You are not discarded or forgotten, there is a space in my heart that is filled with just you

If I could take away the pain……

If I could ease the weight from your chest, letting you breathe

If I could show you my commitment to making you whole

If I could for one minute, not be quite so human………

So take what I have given you, and the things that I haven’t

Drink deeply from what is left of our life

Keep digging until you find that part of yourself that you can still share with me

And I will wait…time moves slowly when you’re waiting on a friend.

Anyone who's perfect deserves to stand in the forever lost corner!

This writing comes from somewhere many people understand or at least know. Seems we have the capacity to both love and hurt, sometimes with great intensity, sometimes with little or no encouragement.

Your words hurt, hurt you .. they hurt the friend, hurt the reader, but they touch but hopefully, leave the right kind of scar.

'If I could show you my commitment to making you whole
If I could for one minute, not be quite so human………'

This piece has the ability to break your heart and fill you with hope at the exact same moment and this line
If I could for one minute, not be quite so human/
is particularly heart wrenching. A beautiful description of the place we have all been at one point or another. Your words truly resonate with the reader. The mark of a true artist.

Everyone has been one at some point - most just don't like to admit it. This is amazing. I like the honesty and the feeling in this. Wonderful piece.

This is a truly heartfelt poem about trying to right a wrong and show that you are trying to repair the damage. we have all been in that spot a time or two in our lives. I like the deep sincerity in this poem.

this one certainly hurls itself through the barriers opening us all to our less then desirable traits which can at times leave serious emotional bruises in its wake~ been on both ends of the spectrum~ neither is pleasent~
your poem bleeds~ and bleeds well~

thats the right way to feel, healing takes time...but when you have a history, something shared..there is always a connection..you have until the end of time..although I am sure it won't take that long :)
