Self Soothing

Self Soothing

"
A desire
to be missed and kissed,
Unmet-
is a sharp edge on of a dark corner.
Until
the wince becomes and ache
trickling down her cheek.
Tissue, cells, body,
do not lie.
In want,
revealing emotions
untapped, disconnected, manifested.
Until
the void becomes a sorrow,
streaming down her face.
Two hands
attached to two arms.
Connected to what?
Wait? Her torso?
Wrapping, folding, squeezing.
Until,
peace flows within.

Excellent poem. Perfectly depicting its title self soothingly...
Life is a long journey and its easy to cross with someone's shoulder present in time of happiness to enjoy, and in times of sadness to cry...
