Sleeping Blue

Sleeping Blue

A Poem by Deron Anthony
"

is he drowning in ocean? or is he drowning in heart brake?

"

The Sleeping Blue

The cold, the clam.

My eyes get heavy to a long lasting sleep.

I yawn but can't breathe.

The air is gone.

I'm slowly falling in a liquid sky,

the sun light becomes blurry.

My dreams dance in front of me.

My past flashes by me as if I'm traveling through time.

I remember my wife, her beautiful dark hair that hung to her shoulders.

Her eyes a light green, they sparkled like two emeralds.

The time spent with her seems in vine.

I wish to just hold her in my arms

and just whisper that I love her for eternity

but

I will never be able to hear her sweet voice.

I'll never be able to see her sleep peacefully.

All the little things I took for granted.

Still  falling,

slowly.

Eyes heavy, tired.

I yawn but can't breathe.

I finally land softly.

I lay still my eyes close.

Tired,

I yawn one more and sleep deep.

And kiss my love in my forever lasting dreams.
