Love in a Black Shade

Love in a Black Shade

A Poem by Life Inside Death

Have mercy

Your eyes are ripping me apart again

Like a syringe filled with blood

You inject me with love

Dead love

A love that I know is wrong

But still I crave it

And I see you holding his hand

And I know you can smell the tension

You look at me once more

With such an innocent smile

Seductive, almost painful

You tug at every thread

Unwinding the gears of my mind

Killing me softly

I’m gagging at the sight

He kisses you so gently

Like I once did

And you kiss him back

But you’re still looking at me

Those poisonous eyes…

Envenoming my body

I become paralyzed

Medusa would be shamed

And I can’t turn away…

You feed on my heart like a cannibal.

Our love is so wonderful…

...another amazing work.

my only criticism is this line:
'But I want it anyways"

...I just really didn't like your word choice...to be more specific, your use of the word "anyways" bothered me slightly and took away from the piece, for me. Besides that bit though, it was a FANTASTIC piece.
