I feel like a cripple
Without a crutch

My friends have walked away

The flow of it was very attractive, keeping the reader alive.

Well Shane, I'm wondering why you posted this if it's not done yet... but I'm going to leave a review anyways.
Hmm.. Don't really have much to say since you're not done yet.
But I really do like this part:
