Think again

This is a free verse..and a message to the society.! "Be the change you want to see in the world"

"She is a tom boy"

I heard someone saying..

'Tom boy' that's how they call her..

"What a shame.!"

I heard them saying so.

I wanted to turn back and blame them..

But, that hand stopped me.

That hand grabbed my arm so tightly..

That I felt how she felt..

Tears came into my eyes..

I was afraid to look at her face..

How hard it is to her, to bear up those.!

I recalled my memories..

Since childhood, she liked to behave like a boy like her brothers..

But even though the time passed..

Even though she entered her youth..

She wasn't able to stop behaving like a boy..

She was a girl from birth..but..

Her thoughts were different..

She tried several times in her life to be a real girl..

But she failed..

She ended up crying and cursing the world..

She couldn't control herself being a boy..

It was fate..

She finally found her strength to stand up on her feet

In her real personality and apperence..

But see how the society treats her.!

Will she be able to bear up those?

Did she ever wanted to be a person like that? No.

It's not her fault..its just her unluck..

Do you know how much she wants to dress like a girl?

Walk,talk and chat like a girl?

How much she wants to date a boy?

Seeing other girls doing those,

Do you think it's easy to stay like that? 

She is helpless..who will love her? 

She is living with such depression..

So is it fair for the society to say that" she is a shame"?

Those thoughts were jumbling in my mind that moment..

She loosened her hand..

i looked up at her..

Tears were flawing along her cheeks

But she was smiling..

Then suddenly she hugged me saying

"Thank you for being by my side"

I hugged her back saying "I will always"

Because I have understood her,

i will never let her feel alone in this society.!

So you too..think again .

These people should also have the right to live..

So try to understand them..love them..

Never reject them..

Change your attitude toward them..

That's what they want.!

And that will be the best thing you've ever done in your life..!!
