A Nursery Crime...Georgie Porgie

Olde English nursery rhyme updated

Georgie Porgie pudding and pie
kissed the girls and made them cry,
the police were called, statements sought,
a danger deemed, he must be caught.

Within the hour he was found
roughly cuffed, punched to the ground,
put in a car, thrown in a cell,
denied a brief so he couldn't tell.

Confused and with a low IQ
Georgie knew what he would do,
and when they opened up his door
he lay there dead upon the floor.

Now the police themselves 'midst public fury,
will face a trial and a twelve man jury.

Very entertaining, any woman who has been assaulted by a man would probably not feel too bad for Georgie. Mixed feelings about this one. Death is tragic, no matter how you look at it, but too many men try to steal or force their affection on women. Your rhymes are always flawless and your poetry ignites the emotions, no question. Finely written.
