True Love

A few words for my good lady wife

Let marriage be our sanctuary
peacefulness our bed,
contentment be the pillow
upon which we rest our head,
and the love we've shared these many years
be woven as a quilt,
under which, within each other's arms,
we'll share this life we've built.

Love this. Beautifully written. My husband and I have been together for many, many years also. I, too, write about our lives together. He is my soulmate and I love him with all my heart and soul. I don't deserve him but I thank God for him. This is a beautiful tribute to a love that has lasted many years. Very nicely done!

Gee Hi. I hope she appreciated it. She certainly should have, because it's truthful and well written. At first I thought you'd lost the meter but then I said it out loud disregarding line breaks and it worked fine. I'm sure you appreciate that there are greetings cards that travel this path, but the difference here is (a) quality, but mainly (b) that this is your marriage, your partner, drawn from your feelings.
