Yup it all fits together nicely Gee and is a flowing, well crafted, eloquent poem. Might I suggest the final line as 'than plat'num or gold.' In saying that I have only read it in and not checked the metre.

Hi John, have adjusted, cheers. Thanks for taking the time to comment
I agree dear friend.
"How beautiful this life we live
what wonders to behold,
more beauty found in nature's gifts
than plat'num, silver, gold. "
The above lines perfect. I love my time near the lakes and the forest. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

An eloquently penned, image filled nature poem and indeed, day or night, there's much to behold and savour within the finely woven tapestry of Mother Nature!
LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! I am in awe of someone who can zip off a lovely flowing balanced ballad like this, with perfect rhythm & rhyme, while toodling off to work?!?!?! WOW! I don't remember feeling this creative in 30+ years of toodling off to do technical writing for a living, which I loved. Anyhow, now you're sparking my own inclinations. I love nature & this gives me a new idea of writing about it . . . love your detailed imagery & a feeling of gentle immersing in mainly description . . . just placing the reader in this place so we can see/feel/hear/touch/experience it, too! Very nice journey, my friend.

Your simple words were a delight to my Soul. I think the fourth stanza was, indeed, necessary. We do, sometimes, have to mention the things that are not quite so natural. Once, when I asked my doctor if the medicine he was giving me was 'natural,' he rather crossly replied, 'all the elements are natural'!!!
