Best before blow jobs

payment in polythene
half empty bags.
Laying and lying
but only to self
shop soiled, outdated,
left on the shelf

Good morning Christine. The council estate I hailed from had many single parent families, mine included, and many of the mums would sleep with anything. As a skinny, very young looking 15 year old, I was propositioned by a near neighbour, frightened the life out of me. At that stage of my life I was using " it" only for peeing and stirring my tea :)
Another scorcher today, applying factor " fed up " and searching for shade.

That is the reality for many. The circle closes at a very early age and for those trapped inside, there is rarely a way out.

It is to the shame of the politicos and the useless hand wringers and jobsworths, that they turn their collective backs away from the problem.
No! Actually it's not that simple is it. They know, oh how well they know; but collateral damage is just that and viewed from the Ivory towers of the establishment, perfectly acceptable.

I'm actually a single mum; but fortunately for me the circle never closed.
