Blocks are for butchers not writers

Blocks are for butchers not writers

A Poem by Gee
"

Ho, hum...writers block

"
" Twas better for most my absence "
said the poet missing his muse,
" for all of my thoughts were jumbled, inane,
anything written did nowt but confuse.
But gladly she came back a calling,
for how long is anyone's guess,
but for now I'll post what she's whisprin'
hopin' it ain't, too much of a mess ! "

The title is clever and so is the poem.
Blocks are for building too. Foundations, bridges, futures etc.
Hope you and the lovely familia are doing well out there, Gee. :)

Yes. Please do. :)
Smiling at this little write. Yep, we get blocked. I have always tempered my responses with politeness, but that has irritated. Then there is the dreaded writer's block which we all suffer from. Good morning Gee.

HA! Clever indeed - ah yes these bloody muses are like gypsies - coming and going when they please. It's when they hang around naked as heck with their asses in the air - well then, that's when the creativity really flows :) Nice one my friend X

This is total cleverness disguised as rubbish! *wink! wink!* I love the way you use "butcher block" and "butchering the language" and "writer's block" as a way to spoof the writing life of us "hacks"! I love the way your muse is so taunting & your attitude about that fact is to take it all in stride. Feels like a real marriage. One of your most shining examples of originality of thinking for which you are famous! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Thank you Sette
Love the title Gee, and the optimism. Sometimes that muse can be a bit of a tease when she wants to, but she never ventures too far...Hopefully, fingers crossed, touch wood, etc. Not that I'm superstitious, but as someone once said, you don't need to believe in luck in order for it to work.
I bet I see a black cat now :)
