The day I realized that I love you.

The day I realized that I love you.

A Poem by Sarah Flanigan
"

This is about one of my nearest and dearest friends. She truly means the world to me.

"
That day,
I was driving way too fast and you were in the passenger's seat of my truck.
We were reminiscing about stray tennis balls and rude gym teachers.
You had your feet up on the dashboard with a cigarette in one hand and a Sundrop in the other.
You had that far away look in your eyes and a slight smile on your lips.
The wind from the open window was rushing through your short, blonde hair and it was shimmering in the summer sun.
We were wearing clothes purchased at the Dollar General after our clothes had gotten soaked in Cold Creek.
We had explored and abandoned school and a hidden cemetery.
We were snacking on cotton candy.
You were so beautiful.
And I realized that I love you...

It is quite clear that you remember every detail of that moment! I love this. That's just how it is when we remember how it suddenly hit us.
