perfect day

a perfect day is one i spend with you,

it doesnt matter what we do.

a movie or a day at the park,

id be there from dawn till dark.

your eyes light up the day,

your laugh speaks to me in a special way.

holding hands and hugging when you go,

when im with you i let the real me show.

i never feel alone when your near,

never sad with you here.

i wish your arms were around me forever,

with the feeling our love may never sever.

i want your lips together with mine,

but it never seems to be the time.

i dont want to screw up this day,

so for now ill play it safe.

this is a perfect day.
