Divisions of being

Divisions of being

A Poem by Niall Madden

in this world we exist in the grey

between two points of extremities,

we shall remain.

while many drift onward near those intense poles

they will barely even glimpse at utmost goals.

regardless on the breed of opposition,

hate, love, fear, respect, stupidity, wisdom.

realism dictates that the all form one split.

Mentality of the masses dictates where man sits.

Men tremble on tightropes toward light or dark.

But how are these different, look on the surface

both slip into category of aspects of light,

however the difference in essence is slight,

So if divide is fundamentally flawed.

Our existence is the biggest catastrophe we know.

Dark and light have inner separation, see

dark is like a pit that inhales you.

As you fall you look to see an exit.

But the sky has been blocked by thin veils of black.

A sudden abandonment of hope lets man fall quicker.

However to begin the descent lacked both speed and vigor.

Light however omnipotent by cause.

it is always in the background rallying all.

While you don't look upon it every single day.

It stays by mans side till the last breath of time.

Until dark blinds you.

Dark holds one power,

absolving of the weak.

Bleak by name,

Nature just as true.

Remember one thing

light believes in you,

Don't forget to believe in it.
