Colours in a sea

News just in!

The vast depths of humanity

are just colours in a sea.

We are just a black smudge

on a rainbow plain of being,

armies of dull fish swimming

through vivid lucid bodies

the vast depths of concepts

are just colours in the sea.

while we mock the basic

as a lack of understanding

we wont refrain from

conceptualizing

things without being

Though simple life may be

the vast depths of humanity

Will remain colours in a sea

Author's Note

While I understand that sometimes things need to be understood and must be complex this poem looks at the idea of simplicity as a form of knowledge and if everything we know is truth.

I guess Niall, when we say we know something - knowing as in factually speaking - if its not a fact then its not known. So knowing things can be interpreted as generally accepted but facts by definition are truths otherwise they arent facts they are assumptions by one or many (went a bit Star Treky there lol)
I liked this write and I liked the faux-headline stylings - they draw the reader in.
