Promise me forever again

You claimed you be there for me

No matter what happened

No matter what I did

But as soon as things turned ill

You turned your back

And walked away

I needed you the most that night

The night things crumbled before my very eyes

The night he said goodbye

And the night she made me cry

It was the day after that you promised me forever

But then you went

You ran off with my heart

My first love

My best friend

I'd call you time after time

With no answer

With no reply

Things had gotten worse that day

People were saying things

That they shouldn't say

They'd pushed me around

Pull me from behind

I'd think about your promise

For the rest of my life until now

But then I saw you last night

With her around your arm

I can't say it didn't hurt

I can't say it didn't make it worse

But I'm glad to see you're well

Did you promise her forever too?

I can't stay mad at you

That's what sucks about being in love

But I must say

I see you in my dreams

I see you holding hands with me

I watch you promise me forever

Again and again

Happy like we used to be

And when it's you I'm dreaming of

I don't want to wake up

Because things were better then

And things were happier then

Now I sit here and think about all

That's happened this year

And I picture you

Where were you when things were falling apart?

Where were you when I needed you most?

[Coyote Poetry]

A poem with a sad story of love. Love is the big test in a life. In the end we learn to walk slow and easy into love. Too many people want to hit and run. The story was strong and the description told of someone leaving when they were needed most. Sometime best to learn early before wasting emotion on someone with a cold heart. A excellent poem.

I hate how much Bradley's review is true. It's, how you say in english, fucked up. I love someone and no love is returned. It's not a choice we have. Our hearts choose who they love and there's nothing we can do about it. Anyways good poem and keep it up. :)
