The gypsy-like leaves

The gypsy-like leaves

A Poem by Relic

To flee and fly like jostling birds, or gray moths 'round a light.
To pirouette in lazy rings, while frolicking in flight.

Leaves--like gypsies--slip away with a fondness for the wind.
Soon to sweep, and persevere, in lives undisciplined.

Some will scurry in their haste to pester pine trees praying.
Then they'll sit, for just a bit, In fields where I was laying.

I enjoyed the movement you put in this piece of poetry, and could imagine the leaves falling and being whipped up by the wind. The image you have posted is spectacular, the colour intense. lovely stuff.

I love to sit and watch the leaves fall and watch them drift upon the wind.. The colors are beautiful when they change and to hear them crackle under foot when walking on them is nice to hear.. nice write

Autumn is my favorite season. Thanks.
Autumn is resplendent in its exquisite beauty, in these verses. Loved the flyaway leaves like gypsies, leaving such magic in their paths.

You are most welcome!
I was sifting through your works and this one prompted me to write a comment because I have always loved autumn. I was born in it. And I do not give praise where it is not due; this poem was beautiful and soft. It felt like somewhere I remember. So thanks for writing so I could read.

I'm glad you enjoyed. Thanks. :)
I love reading your poems...this one has a very calming and nostalgic feel in it. Takes me back to my childhood days, in our old house on top of a hill, where i used to play. Lots of trees there.
