I still visit the profiles of old friends here, some that I know seldom if ever, revisit the site. Others are departed from life itself. I revisit their comments on my posts on other sites as well. I'll find one and say, well, wasn't that nice? This is eloquently poignant. I enjoyed and I relate. F.

As do I. They are like monoliths on a partways barren land.
Ohhh much like for this one. Comparing the abandoned account as you would describe an abandoned building. Much description and detail put in this! Trés bien!

I once had a typing job in a partly ruined building - exploring that was so much more interesting than the job ! L.
It must be the curiosity of all that went on in them before. The people, the events. What once was.

They're eerie, abandoned of life; just a shell skeleton, barren and desolate, uncared fir and ready to be explored!!! :D
Hmm, we may hope writerscafe does not come to this. Fortunately I've only experienced one website like WritersCafe close down, and it's people were forced to abandon with it rather than it being a choice... so I cannot say I can relate. I've often found friends on my account leave "to publish in the real world" but I just shake my head because to me there is no real-er world than this place. Where we can share as ourselves under our names or faces or none at all. It's a choice to be here and share ourselves with people we've never met before. So even if people begin to leave and abandon this cafe, I'll keep coming until I'm ultimately forced to leave.
Amazing write. Keep writing my fellow poet.
Sincerely,
- Lavi
P.S. Just realized I've read this before. Wow, four months? Here's an update on my thoughts I guess ('o_0)
Writers come and writers go, who can see what writers know. We are fortunate to see so many good writers in the Café and to be able to share our thinking and hopefully to shape a neophyte or two along the way.
