Sophrosyne

My happiness lies where my heart is not in disguise 

it is where the mask falls off and my naked soul is free 

it is where I break down and become revealed. 

I only see the eyes;

those are more beautiful than the sun on its rise,

I ask me how can I be happy when we are untwined 

when the fate that I drew in my head is no more

when you are the rose and I am the bee. God.  

I love you but you don’t love me…

now I think you were just a phase 

a part from my life that left me amazed 

you made my life a living maze

then you said no and kept my heart in a blaze

wondering what is left of love for me to taste… 

Nothing. just boredom and heartache.

with you my best smiles were cracked into existence

with no resistance from my heart and brain

thats why i will never forget the time we had 

just like birds will never forget the amazing sunny days.

So I will embrace the haze in my life until it washes away with the rain

I’ll even write songs about it so it’ll never get to me again

Now my heart is in sync with my brain and ready to move out from the pain.

I never heard of Sophrosyne dear poet thanks for the education.
This is good - I dont like it as much as 'Your smile -> My High' but it does have its moments for me.
The final stanza is class!
