Most people crave love
But I've enjoyed living with grief
The lows, the sadness
The dark and the cold
I've relished each of these
I've been happy living with my shades of grey
Dull, impaired
Yet rock solid
My deeds are wrong
But soul so strong
Chasing patience
With a conscience impatient
Living the mockery named life
Seeking contentment
With least inducement
Proclaiming truth
Yet living in denial....
