My worst fear

A desert of endless blue,
Is where my mind goes at night,
To fight a creature with eyes of envy,
And claws of bitter spite.

An uncontrollable beast,
Supported by talons of pride,
Constructs a vision,
Designed to make me terrified.

A being of purest hate,
Is all that I can see.
But what frightens me most,
Is its face; it's me.
