The Poet

The Poet

A Poem by Bidu Ibrahim
"

Who's a poet?

"
The poet’s eye sees
the words formed in the mind
the pictures drawn on the hearts
the imperceptible frowns
the sweet-painful smiles.

The poet’s ear hears
the silent whispers
the subtle tremor and shivers
the words left unsaid
the mute sighs, breath left hanging
and the heartbeats' thumping.

The poet’s heart is a pond
flooded with intense passion
a shelter of graffiti of feelings
a sieve of misunderstood emotions
drenched
stretched
bogged.

The poet’s pen captures
the normally unimaginable
the crudely incredible
the silent horror
the delicate terror
the sweetly genuine and rare
the delicately fashioned beauty

The poet is
insanely normal
delicately abnormal
finely intuitive
outrageously secretive
openly repulsive
silently seductive.
A poet,
is simply, a poet!

I like the way you describe the poet and it looks like You're also describing yourself. And I like the conclusion:"A poet is simply a poet".
Good job!!!!!!!!!
