Oceanic Memories In A minor

Oceanic Memories In A minor

A Poem by ICE

Memories remain

Broken and frozen

On the ground

Like dead leaves

At the first sign of snow.

I suck in the frigid air

As the cold clings to us

Whist we cling to each other

And in that moment we know.

Our lives dance before our eyes

Along with the promises

We don't always keep;

And your heart is mine

So lets go to sleep.

Our past has been

A smooth refrain

Laid open and bare

For all to see

We lay here

And breathe frosty breaths

Upon this oceanic floor

And in that moment I knew

You were made for me.

Our lives dance before our eyes

Along with the promises

We don't always keep;

And your heart is mine

So lets go to sleep...

Lay your head on me

And take the world off

Your shoulders...

If just for one night.

Memories remain

Like a simple refrain

Dancing in the first snow.
