Stigmata

Stigmata

A Poem by Rob Santana
"

Haunting......

"

I haunt the roads alone

Lost in my own emptiness,

My spirit, red and injured,

I can feel your cold presence

Your poltergeist is haunting,

 You became my saviour,

I became your flask

You scorched

My soul with your stigmata

I watched

Your deceiving words

And hypnotic images

Fornicate

It's strange how that worked,

Now the empty roads haunt me

In my dead dreams,

God, why did I let her in,

Now I can't get you out,

 Must you

Continue to resurrect

Inside of me?

I wish I could cleanse my soul

From your stigma

You possess me

Therefore you're unclean,

You walked away

Leaving your image

Planted in my device.....

You walked away,

Now I count the days

That have gone by

Carving each one

Deep in my neck

I pray

For the day

When

My exorcist

 Releases you

Along with my demons

Until then,

I wander the west,

 My emptiness,

 Haunts the east

Lost and alone

I'm the ghost

With the human form....

Ghost from the past. thanks for sharing this wonderful poem.

I never forgot you. I never forgot how bad a*s you are in sharing your creative vision. Isn't it cruel how people can sometimes get into your very soul? But maybe that's the whole point of living. Perhaps our soul was never meant for ourselves? Perhaps we were meant toshare it...to be free of it. And with every person we meet I think you do lose a bit of yourself. But in return you also gain some of their energy. Problem is...with all this giving and taking; not all energies are created equal, and it leaves you feeling tainted and drained.

My my Rob what a piece!

I still never get tired of reading it

But

I'm wondering what brought forth this Misery and Darkness?

What is this lady evil you speak of ?

Is this a woman or 1 of many that have scorned your heart
I travel in this in thought further than I should lol

Thanks baby , appreciate it bro.
Wow deep imagery here ..... fantastic description of exercising the memory of her like a demon... I totally get it . Lol us women often do the same things with the memory of certain men that put them through hell also .

#Wellwritten

LMAO!!!!!!
"I'm the ghost, with human form." That last line is very haunting. This feels almost like a religious take on mental illness. Whatever it is and where ever you drew the inspiration from, good work.

Glad you liked it. Thank you for stopping by.
The ending was magnificent, as well as the rest of the poem, of course. This was wonderful. The form and imagery really captivate the reader and it gives power to the underlying meaning of this write. Nicely done, mate!

No problem. (:
My friend, you have such a way with words. This is effing awesome! I know exactly what this feels like to imagine the only way to get her out of your head is through exorcism. I can feel the pain of betrayal in your words. Through writing, we can release the demons, just a little bit every time.
