My Reality

My Reality

A Poem by Impax55

These paths I take I wish were nightmares

To wake up and embrace relief

I don’t want to taste unsweetened

I don’t want to mirror weakness

I’ve taken every direction

The destination is the same

If only those still existed

Who used to care and said forever

Words mean less everyday

As good as the writing on bathroom stalls

Maybe this wasn’t meant to be

An existence that’s past its spoil

This time is running out

I can no longer breathe

Wake me up

Please just wake me up

This is my reality

You are my dream

"I don't want to taste unsweetened"
Ah, love that line.

sometimes I wish that what happens in real life wasn't real.
that it was all just a nightmare.
