Two: The Others

 

I walked into the bathroom and closed the door and turned the water on hot. I stripped off the over sized shirt and moved the curtain back and stepped in the shower steam was already filling up the bathroom. The hot water soothed me as I stood there letting it wash over me. I didn’t have any emotions; the only thing I felt was the numbness inside and that got old and fast. I never felt the wind in my face or the grass under my feet. Nothing that natured offered cause I had been in here most of my un-human life.

 

I opened my eyes and seen that I had steamed up the shower and the bathroom. I than washed my hair and washed my body, I than turned the water off and opened the curtain and stepped out; I pulled a towel from the shelf and wrapped it around my body, which was perfect in every way and I was healthy too. I walked to the mirror and wiped it with my hand and looked at my reflection, I looked dull. My auburn hair was dark since it was washed and my honey blue eyes glowed from the light in the bathroom my face plan not freckles or scars. I walked to the door and pushed it open.

 

I walked into the bedroom and got the cloths off my bed and they were cold to the touch from the cold sweat that was still in the sheets. I grabbed them any way, walked back into the bathroom and got dressed. I came out a few minutes later dressed, and ready all I was missing where my weapons. I walked back to the closet and grabbed all the weapons and gadgets that were placed in boxes or in the belts already and fastened them around my waist, my thigh, my arm or right below where the bottom of my leather top was. I walked back into the bathroom and all the steam had cleared and the mirror was clear and not water stained.

 

I fixed the vest that had grenades attached to them and some other fun blow thing up toys. I looked at myself one last time and pulled out to top drawer and found my bobby pins and hair spray. I pulled a little of my front hair in a little puff on the top of my head and bobby pined it and then hair spared it so it would hold and when you put this hair spray in you don’t have to worry about it falling out of place. I than closed the drawer and walked to the door way of the bathroom and looked around one last time and then hit the light switch that had came on when I had entered the bathroom they were motion sincerer. I closed the door and turned to find a guy looking at the wires that were placed in the wall that where half way jerked out from this morning.

 

I pulled the two guns from my side and clicked and pointed. He looked around and seen me,

 

“Lana I’m not here to hurt you. I’m your programmer, the guy that makes you breath, walk, talk, think, kill. Remember me Ben” he said as he pointed to the wire in his hand. I looked at those wires, I than felt the place on my side where there were two little plug in for the computer that sent the data to my brain. I looked at him, still with the guns pointed at him. I had only met him twice and I still didn’t trust him that much. I didn’t trust him not one little bit and I knew that for a fact.

 

“Put the guns down please.” He said as he picked up a messenger bag that has that the computer in it.

 

“Know would you please put down the gun and save the ammo and let’s go there about to be a big up bring and countless of human might get killed. Including Mr. Nolan he wanted me to come here when you were ready to be tested out.” He matter-of-fact said. I looked at him,

 

“Why should I trust you?” I asked as I looked at him lowering the guns put not away.

 

“Lana if I was going to hurt you I would have tried to kill you when you were showering or fixing your hair or the once or twice I meet you before.” He said as he looked at me and put the bag over his head and it slide on his side and he looked at me.

“Know if you please we have a job to do.” He sated and looked at me and blinked his eyes. I just glared at him and moved to the door and he was already over there and looked at me as I walked over. He walked out the door first and I followed him out into the hall and seen that there was a wall at the very end. I looked back up at the guy,

 

“So what’s your name?” I asked as I looked behind me every few feet to make sure we weren’t going to be attacked from behind.

 

“I’m Ben your computer guy. I fix problem that you may some across when you battle. I’m your fix it guy!! You should remember me from a long time ago” he stated as we came to a door and pressed a code in the code box. The door opened to reveal a hallway that was marble and lit with florescent lights it wasn’t that long or that hard to climb. Just then we walked up and seen people standing at the entrance…

“Billy what the hell is this?” Levi asked as he stood by Billy who had moved toward the entrance of the hall way. Jimmy and James were standing behind them, although James couldn’t see through Levi so he just stood there. Zach walked into the kitchen empty handed, he walked up to Lilly’s bedroom and told her to watch Bella and to lock the door and only open it if she was either attacked by The Untouchables or it was one of the guys and to scream if it was an Untouchable. She just shook her head yes and he came back down into the kitchen to find them standing in an opening.

 

“Dude…” Zach said as he stood behind Jimmy and looked over Jimmy’s shoulder. They stood there and heard the distant clicking of hills on the marble floor and a distant mumble of two people talking. They moved back and looked down the hall as figures started to appear, just than a guy walked into sight followed by a very sexy girl.   

 

“Well hello.” The guy said as the girl raised the guns she had at her side and they heard the click of the guns. Jimmy dropped his beer and put his hands up as did Billy, Levi, James and Zach.  

 

“No… no Lana they are good guys” he said as he turned to her and then looked at the guys.

 

“My name is Ben and this Lana.” Ben said as he patted the bag on his side and they girl looked at each guy with her honey blue eyes that you could melt in.

 

“What is she?” Levi asked without thinking and then dropped his hands to his side, Zack and James did the same as to where Billy put his in his pocket and Jimmy bent down to pick up the beer can and throw it away and then he went to cleaning up the spilt beer.

 

“She’s a super human. She is programmed to kill The Untouchables, it complicated.” He said as Lana turned and looked down the hall and they seen the holes in her side where they guessed the plug in went. Zach and Levi shivered and then looked at the guy named Ben.

 

“So who are you?”Billy asked with a questionable voice and looked at Lana, totally in a trance looking at her. He was in such a trance he didn’t hear Ben say his name the first time.

 

“Ben… her programmer and problem fixer!!!” he said proudly as she turned and looked at them and put her guns in her belt around her hips. She looked into the room and then walked pass Ben and into the kitchen, she looked around cautious and then entered and walked over to Levi and looked at him and he just stood there as still as a pole. She reaches for his hair and he looked like he was praying in his place. She touched his hair that fell in his face. She removed her hand and then looked at him.

 

“Why is your hair long?” she questioned as she than looked at him, he didn’t say anything he was continued to pray in his place. She looked at Ben and he just smiled.

 

“He chooses to have his hair long it’s kind of like a new style of hair.” He said and she shook her head like she understood. Just then there was a loud scream from up stairs, Lana jumped into battle position and pulled the two guns from her side and moved to the door was as Lilly was thrown down the steps. After Lilly hit the ground and rolled Lana stepped out into the hall and looked up and seen The Untouchables and pulled the trigger so fast it was repeated gun fire and there was a many loud bangs and smoke and then Lana threw her guns into the belt and took the stair two at a time and hit the one that didn’t get hit and he fell to the ground and she grabbed the other ones arm and twisted it and flung it over the rail and it landed on the couch, he was still alive just a little shocked. Billy ran into the living room and grabbed a passed out Lilly and pulled her into the kitchen her blood was on the floor from the gash she got on her head.

 

 Levi ran to the door way and seen Lana take a knife from her leather pants leg and jumped off the rain onto the Untouchable and stabbed him in the heart three times and then got off him, she had some blood on her face but she was untouched. She stood over him and smelled in deep and then opened her eyes and they were alert and very blue.

 

“The little girl…” was all she said before she took off toward the stair taking them three at a time and took off down the hall when she got to the landing and walked down to the forth door and pulled on the handle and seen that it was locked, she than kicked the door clean off its hinges and it crashed into the wall by the window…
