I know exactly this person. She is me & also she is some others I've known thru life. You've done an excellent job of showing us the insecurities we all carry into loving situations. The sweetly-stated twist at the end is so perfect, becuz we often try to love those who feel unlovable, the most. We want to compensate for how bad it's been for him/her . . . or we simply want to "fix" (not always a noble goal!) I love the vivid specific details you tell here & it conjures up a whole boatload of possibilities.

Yes, love can be hard to manage, but we hope it becomes worth it in the end. People who feel unlovable are the people who need it the most, i find; and its quite a hard task to convince them they do deserve it. Lines like "what is there to love about me?" come up frequently and are hard on the receiving ends ears as there is so, so much to love about them. But they just cant see it.
haha anyways im off rambling to myself :^) thank you so much for the review!
