What we have is more than enough.

Even though you are far away,

I am overcome by the thought of you every day.

Your love is embedded,

in my heart and in my soul forever.

 

I anticipate the times we talk,

and I pray for the moments we can touch.

To feel you close to me as we walk.

Did you know I love you this much?

 

Your love makes me shine like a million stars,

it makes me shine more than anyone.

I dream of your breathtaking smile,

and it stops my heart, if even for a little while.

I long for the time when my hand is in yours,

and I tremble when your lips speak those three precious words.

There are no words I can use to describe,

when we are apart my heart aches and I am dying inside.

But when we talk my heart rejoices,

my soul leaps and your voice drowns out all other noises.

 

I dream of days when I slept in your arms.

Feeling so distant and safe from any harm.

Years have come and gone,

yet our love still stands strong. 

This feeling, that can’t be seen or touched.

It is much like us,

and just knowing I have you,

Is more than enough.
