Here I am

Here I am

A Poem by Mark
"

I'm sure all relationships have some sort of 'fault lines'. Hopefully never ones that keep you from looking up however.

"
walking the fault lines
stained in glue
practicing everything
I'll say to you.

foundations, ballast, leather shoes
when they fall apart it's not
always news.

But here I am. Yes, here I am.

another crack means stepping away
the lines grow more with each day.

walking the fault lines
leads me to you.
I smell your perfume.
whatever I do.

but here I am. Yes, here I am.

tired of looking down
but if I see sky
I could possibly drown.
and never know why.

so I walk these fault lines
hoping I will find
a chance to see the sky and
a little peace of mind.

But here I am.  Yes, here I am.

such a poignant piece. and profound as well. we all should be able to look up without fear of drowning.

This poem speaks to me. I've always wanted to be able to rhyme without sounding corny, and you rhyme perfectly! I'm jealous.

You're showing your soft underbelly again Mark...we all walk that fault line, willingly or unknowingly sometimes. I like the softer shades of you. ;-)

Mark, this isn't a side of you I have seen before. I always thought you were rugged and rough, a bit like Vin Diesel really.

This is heartfelt sentiment, I hope she sees it and remembers you and the time on your trail if not your trial of your time ...

And before long I, too, will be 55. Hmm ... I sure don't feel it tho.
i never knew there were people who have this condition. i don't know what it is...i hope the person finds what he is searching for and is able to overcome his fear of looking up at the sky.
