It's your one way ticket to midnight...

Immersed....

I fall into a lake of sound

closing my eyes to let it melt

around me.

Vibrations and emotions

creating my heartbeat

in sync.

melody, solo in the ear

felt deep in my heart

pushing water.

Letting my body express

in motion what the beat

tells me.

How would I know I was alive

with no music?

I'm sorry, but I don't get this thing of adding a backing track to what you have written, and I am not just referring to you mark, lots of writers do it, for me it's either poetry or music, I know the two merge but I think
both have to be your own, maybe I'm just old fashioned.

Loved the energy of this one, Mark. It was a wonderfully-crafted piece but still gave the feel of the raw. I am not sure, however, the words wouldn't stand better without the music … I feel they are dynamic enough on their own. But I could just be fuddy-duddy.
