Loneliness

Loneliness

A Poem by Mark

Will I find recognition?
be validated in her smile?
touch my soul to another?

There are places of the heart and soul
That can't be measured
are sometimes missed
often forgotten
or buried deep.

a pretense of logic
covering them like
a shaky riveted door.

I like it so mush. The power of smile in our life is so sweet. Thank you for sharing.

A lot said in the short poem.
"a pretense of logic
covering them like
a shaky riveted door."
The above lines are amazing. I could write a epic poem from. Thank you Mark for sharing the outstanding poetry.

Sometimes we are lonely because we do not invest enough of ourselves when meeting new people. We hold back when should be extending warmth and physical greetings. Give a little, you will only get a little.

Thanks for the review :)
You are a deep thinker who feels with passion and it shines in this piece which I relate to since my children left.

We do like to pretend our 'logical minds' will protect us from the travails of emotion. For most of us … not a chance.
