As Bryan turned around, he saw Elle; she was standing, and her arms were outstretched. And at each fingertip was a small ball of black lightning. And as each moment passed, the small balls merged together, growing in size rapidly. Once Bryan came to understand what was happening, he threw his hand out at Elle, calling upon his own Black Magic, but it was gone. Bryan looked at Elle in disbelief; her evil smile was further darkened by the glow of the lightning bolt.
When Bryan turned to leave, Elle crashed the lightning into Bryan’s back. He cried out as he fell to the floor. Elle bolted over and crouched over him. “Now Im going to finish you off, nice and quick.”
Elle turned Bryan’s body over, and threw punch after punch at his face. She continued until he stopped retaliating; then she stood up, kicking him in the side, over and over until he stopped moving. Conley could see the anger in Elle’s eyes; she had gone mad. He stood up, leaning on the couch for support. Elle had begun to kick Bryan in the face when Conley put his hand to her shoulder.
“Love.” He said softly. When she heard Conley’s voice, she turned to look at him. She instantly relaxed, the rage leaving her body. She sighed, looking back to Bryan. She crouched down and reached into his jacket pocket; she fished out the remaining doses of the anecdote, incase Elle needed them for Conley. Then, Conley pulled her by the arm. “We need to go.” He told her; she nodded in agreement, turning to Conley. She let him lean against her for support.
Elle helped Conley into the car, closing the door and entering the driver’s side. She started the car, and figured it’d be best if they went back to Emily’s house.
