Sea

Sea

A Poem by Intothemilkyway

Eyes full of idleness
Looking at the sky
The clouds are moving
Sea isn't calm

Her thoughts come and go,
What is she thinking about?
That one dream she wants to achieve
Seems so far away like birds home

She is home, but doesn't feel like home.
Her eyes are at one point in the horizon,
But there is nothing there.
What is she looking at?

If i had seen her face i would have said:;
Sight and thoughts come and go,
But only the heart has what's it's looking for.
What does she hold in her heart?

Perhaps the key to her happiness.

I liked the idea of the lonesome soul standing on a beach staring out to sea, I have done it many times myself, and the roar of the waves can be quite a soothing thing, thanks for the read

A somber feeling arose within from reading this. The imagery wasn't quite as laid out for me, and the intent of your words was a bit puzzling, but it did draw a slight emotional reaction, so you're on the right path.

The uncalm sea is a metaphor for what's in her heart. We are not told what it is, only that it's far away. The poet says sights and thoughts come and go. We cannot know whether her dream will, too.
