The Other Me

The Other Me

A Poem by Lori Carlson

There is some other me
in an ethereal universe
who's really at peace,
not dragged down, stripped
of life's harmonic symphony.
The other she that is me
delights in quiet meditation
far away from the clamor
of a relationship long out of sync.
I long to be that other me
to gently massage Mother Earth,
to exist in silence,
for just one perfect moment.

Thanks for your lovely words, Chris.
I love how you want to be the other you and connect with the universe. Mystical and mysterious yet truthful and filled with emotion.

Lovely and said poem. Cleverly written. Perhaps the "other me" is within me, just unable to see it?
