The finest of living things

The finest of living things

A Poem by Island Hippy
"

my little family

"

words from my heart

whispered to the breeze

my soul streams upon

a frequency only yours can find

more and more each day

let me find you new in the sunrise

of this room; sturdy on pillars

weathered from the storm

of forgiven yesterday's

still sturdy still strong

not perfect nor refined

we are simply furnished

in humility and grace

for refinement is in

the threads of love

ours; delicate like

summer rain, so we three

are the finest of living things.

The pleasure was mine!
"We are simply furnished in humility and grace"-how beautiful and tender. Honest, elemental, poignant song of love. I am so happy you have found this in your life my friend.

We gotta keep those good connections when we find them, for they are rare indeed. :)

Mahalo for the drop in
You're so easy to read, the words just flow right off the screen. " Humility and grace", sounds like a lovely family.

Mahalo James I appreciate the compliment.
A very beautiful sentiment set in a flowing, eloquent free verse with gentility and grace.

Mahalo for your kind words Kelly I appreciate it.
well if that's about your family - it's a lovely lovely thing ... you paint a purity that is not pure but at the same time is pure because it is ingrained and known in the echo's of each. Lucky family XXX
